PTFE-Coated Fabric Adhesive Tapes

Versiv PTFE coated glass fabrics tapes provide dimensional stability, high tensile strength and edge tear.
Versiv Tapes provide a release surface and exhibit a remarkably low coefficient of friction and non-stick properties. Anti-static PTFE coated glass yields improved thermal conductivity and static dissipation. Available with silicone or acrylic adhesives, PTFE glass applications include heat sealing, PVCU welding and low friction release surface liners for conveyors.

silicone adhesive
Perfect for extreme temperature pressure applications, Versiv PTFE fabrics and silicone adhesive composites perform in continuous operating temperatures from -73°C to +260°C.
Silicone-based adhesive systems also exhibit good chemical resistance, retain electrical properties and remove cleanly with little or no residue.
Acrylic Adhesive
The acrylic version of Versiv PTFE Coated Fabric tapes perform in continuous operating temperatures from -40 °C to +177 °C.
Avrylic-based adhesive systems also exhibit exceptional solvent resistance, excellent adhesion to metal, superior weathering and aging characteristics. These tapes have an excellent shelf life and when exposed to elevated temperatures their ability to wet-out improves, increasing both adhesion and tack properties.

Features and Benefits
  • Heat resistant: perform at continuous temperatures up to 260°C for silicone and 177°C for acrylic adhesive systems
  • Durable: Resistant to tears, punctures and abrasion. This protection results in less material changes
  • Customisable: Versatility to be custom designed to fit your application and installation needs
  • Coating: Excellent non-stick performance, offering great alternative to requiring high maintenance release spray applications
  • Effective release: Excellent release for guide rails, chutes and slides will slide better with PTFE tapes applied to the sliding surface
  • Release kept in place through the use of adhesive
Applications
Industrial packaging
Frequently used by the packaging industry for their non-stick properties - as a release surface on heat sealers, blister formation and form-fill-seal equipment.
Electronics
Effective insulation materials for wires and cables in electronics to provide thermal and electrical insulation. Also ideal for bonding and sealing electronic components.

Rigorous testing standards
Versiv develops custom application testing based on each of our partner’s product uses in order to create the best possible solution. Some tests that are included but are not limited to environmental, durability, and reliability testing to give you peace of mind making sure that products work in the harshest environments. Our testing begins during the co-development process to develop relevant tests and gather data that allows us to create market-ready solutions quickly.
Some of our tests:
  • FTMS 191A-5041

  • FTMS 191A-5030

  • FTMS 191A-5102

  • FTMS 191A-5136

  • ASTM D149-81
