Skived PTFE Film Adhesive Tapes

Versiv Skived PTFE Film Tapes provide a conformable, non-stick release surface with an exceptionally low coefficient of friction. Inherent PTFE properties give these tapes excellent flexibility, moisture resistance, non-porosity, and broad chemical resistance.

Frequent applications include high-temperature coil and capacitor wrapping, tool masking, and conveyor release linings.

Perfect for extreme temperature pressure applications, Versiv Skived PTFE Tapes and silicone adhesive composites perform in continuous operating temperatures from -99°F to +500°F.-73 °C to +260 °C / -99 °F to +500 °F.

Silicone-based adhesive systems offer good chemical resistance, retain electrical properties, and remove cleanly with little or no residue.

Acrylic Adhesive

The acrylic version of Versiv Skived PTFE Tapes perform in continuous operating temperatures from -40°F to +350°F.-40 °C to +177 °C / -40 °F to +351 °F.

Acrylic-based adhesive systems offer exceptional solvent resistance, strong adhesion to metal, and superior weathering characteristics. At elevated temperatures, they also support improved wet-out, increasing both adhesion and tack.

Effective release: Excellent option for applications that require easy release and lack of adhesive residue, such as composite molding, packaging equipment and heat sealing.
Low coefficient of friction PTFE film: Reduced friction leads to improved efficiency and enhances the lifespan of components and equipment.
Thin and conformable: Skived PTFE tape is highly conformable with 300% elongation.

Frequent Applications

Packaging
Excellent release surface on packaging equipment. Commonly used as a release liner in the production of adhesive tapes, labels, and stickers. It provides a non-stick surface that allows easy removal of adhesive products without leaving residue.

Heat Sealing
PTFE skived film with silicone adhesive is used in heat sealing applications, such as sealing bags, pouches, and packaging materials. Its non-stick properties prevent adhesion during the sealing process.

Electrical insulation
‍PTFE skived film with silicone adhesive is employed for electrical insulation, wire harnessing, and cable wrapping. Its excellent electrical insulation properties make it suitable for these applications.

Industrial Manufacturing
Roll coverings on plastic extruders and guide rails: PTFE skived film, with its inherent non-stick properties, provides an excellent surface for roll coverings on plastic extruders. This non-stick surface prevents molten plastic materials from adhering to the rolls during the extrusion process, reducing the risk of buildup and ensuring smooth operation.
