Versiv PTFE-coated glass fabric tapes provide dimensional stability, high tensile strength, and edge-tear resistance, with a low-friction, non-stick surface for easy release.
Available with silicone or acrylic adhesives, they are commonly used in molding and packaging processes as release liners and tool masking, helping protect surfaces, support clean release, and reduce residue buildup.
Designed for extreme temperature and pressure applications, Versiv PTFE-Coated Fabric Tapes with silicone adhesive perform in continuous operating temperatures from -99 °F to +500 °F.
Silicone-based adhesive systems offer good chemical resistance, retain electrical properties, and remove cleanly with little or no residue.
Acrylic Adhesive
Versiv PTFE-Coated Fabric Tapes with acrylic adhesive perform in continuous operating temperatures from -40 °F to +351 °F.
Acrylic-based adhesive systems offer exceptional solvent resistance, strong adhesion to metal, and superior weathering characteristics. At elevated temperatures, they also support improved wet-out, increasing both adhesion and tack.
Heat resistant: perform at continuous temperatures up to 500°F for silicone and 350°F for acrylic adhesive systems
Durable: Resistant to tears, punctures and abrasion. This protection results in less material changes
Customizable: Versatility to be custom designed to fit your application and installation needs
Texture: Smooth or controlled-texture surfaces to support consistent release and optimal post-processing.
Coating: Excellent non-stick performance, offering great alternative to requiring high maintenance release spray applications
Release kept in place through the use of adhesive
Frequent Applications
Wind blade manufacturing Versiv PTFE Adhesive Tape Systems provide a clean, durable release surface for wind blade production. They support easy demolding, reduced resin transfer, and more pulls before cleanup, with minimal residue after removal.
Industrial packaging Frequently used by the packaging industry for their non-stick properties - as a release surface on heat sealers, blister formation and form-fill-seal equipment.
Compliance information: California’s Proposition 65, TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976) and more.
Rigorous testing standards
Versiv develops custom application testing based on each of our partner’s product uses in order to create the best possible solution. Some tests that are included but are not limited to environmental, durability, and reliability testing to give you peace of mind making sure that products work in the harshest environments. Our testing begins during the co-development process to develop relevant tests and gather data that allows us to create market-ready solutions quickly.
Some of our tests:
FTMS 191A-5041
FTMS 191A-5030
FTMS 191A-5102
