Customisable systems. Co-developed for your mission.
Versiv Space Materials can be engineered around the mechanical, thermal, electrical and environmental requirements of the application.
We work closely with customers to co-develop material systems for specific deployable architectures and mission requirements, tailoring material thickness, reinforcement, surface treatment, coating construction and other key parameters.
Metallised options
Versiv Space Materials can be metalised to tailor thermo-optical and electrical properties.
Metalised constructions provide controlled reflectivity, emissivity and electrical behaviour while maintaining a lightweight, flexible substrate suitable for deployable structures.
Tunable Electrical Conductivity
Versiv Space Materials are inherently electrically insulating, but the electrical behaviour of the finished material system can be engineered through conductive components or modified constructions.
Electrical tuning enables controlled surface conductivity, from insulating through dissipative and semi-conductive behaviour, depending on the requirements of the application.
Tunable Surface Energy
Versiv Space Materials inherently have low surface energy, supporting non-stick and low-friction performance, but their surface behaviour can also be modified where required.
Surface tuning enables increased bondability, improved adhesion, heat sealing and integration with other materials, depending on the requirements of the application.
