Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support the automation and oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, while contributing to intercompany accounting, cash flow reporting, and accurate month-end close activities.

Scope

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for automating the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Once automated, you will perform monitoring and review of the automated processes.

In addition, you will be responsible for intercompany accounting (Transfer Pricing) and reconciliation, fixed asset accounting and automating components of cash flow reporting. You will participate in posting journal entries at month end to ensure all prepaids and accruals are recorded – including deferred revenue.

Responsibilities

• Automate accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Collaborate with Purchasing team to ensure system set-up supports a fully automated P2P transaction cycle and generates management reporting.
• Collaborate with Customer Service team to ensure system set-up supports a fully automated Revenue to Receivable transaction cycle and generates management reporting.
• Manage automated AR and AP processes on an ongoing basis and attend to any residual manual transactions.
• Identify and execute opportunities for automation in the reporting of cash flows for both external and internal management reporting.
• Make recommendations for process improvements to ensure an effective and efficient process for AR, AP, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany.
• Posting all intercompany entries and reconcile intercompany balances monthly.
• Posting journal entries at month end to ensure all prepaids and accruals are recorded.
• Maintain fixed asset register monthly.
• Analyse budget to actual variances
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting
• Proficient user of ERP system, Microsoft 365 and reporting tools.
• Ad hoc duties/projects/other reasonable duties as required by the Company.

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Excellent IT skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments.
• Capable of working on own initiative.
• Organised, logical thinker, attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised and proven record of meeting strict month end deadlines.
• Able to make independent decisions as well as operate in a team environment
