PTFE-COATED

Heavy Belting

The strength and rigidity of Versiv belting fabric make it ideally suited for large belts or those operating in harsh, high-temperature or high-volume environments.
Mechanically stable under pressure and thermally stable up to 260ºC (500ºF), it offers great release characteristics and comes with a range of controlled texture options.

Features and Benefits of PTFE Coated Heavy Belting

  • Structural integrity: Mechanical stability of the fabrics prevents ridging, puckering, and creasing.
  • Great heat transfer properties: Ensures even pressure and temperatures for consistent performance.
  • Availability of guidable edges and different splicing options, make it easy to use across arrange of belt types and applications.
  • Thermally weldable
  • PTFE belting: Non-stick surface, the material properties of PTFE belts ensure high levels of production quality over the long term without the need for constant maintenance.
  • High chemical resistance: Includes resistance to molten thermoplastics, making it ideal choice for belting in chemically demanding environments.

Common Applications

Carpet yarns & heat setting
The materials are used as processing aids when drying and heat setting carpet yarns. Their moisture resistance, flexibility and chemical inertness consistently deliver excellent release and durability in hot and humid environments.
Walk-Off mats manufacturing
Widely used in the manufacture of nitrile rubber heavy duty flooring, Versiv non-stick products are designed to aid production by offering excellent release. These PTFE-coated composites and extreme pressures over thousands of cycles.
Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) manufacturing
Mechanically durable, with consistent “easy release” properties, Versivbelts provide longevity, high production efficiency, and a reduction in manufacturing downtime. Chemically inert belting designed to withstand the rigours of LVT bonding.
Crumb rubber mats manufacturing
Versiv and pressures associated with press-forming activities while conveying the product and protecting the machinery. Clean release and zero downtime.
Padded & cushion backed
Our PTFE-coated belts are used as processing aids, designed to withstand the harsh production environment. Non-stick surface consistently delivers perfect release and minimizes downtime risk.
Rubber processing
Versiv belts and sheets are widely used in the manufacturing of rubber profiles, providing excellent release during curing and cooling of many polymeric materials such as PU, PE and PVC. Resistant to cross-spectrum temperatures these materials allow for continuous production, minimizing the risk of rubber profile rejects in the curing process.

Rigorous testing standards
Versiv develops custom application testing based on each of our partner’s product uses in order to create the best possible solution. Some tests that are included but are not limited to environmental, durability, and reliability testing to give you peace of mind making sure that products work in the harshest environments. Our testing begins during the co-development process to develop relevant tests and gather data that allows us to create market-ready solutions quickly.
Some of our tests:
  • FTMS 191A-5041

  • FTMS 191A-5030

  • FTMS 191A-5102

  • FTMS 191A-5136

  • ASTM D149-81
