Earth Day 2026: Supporting Sustainability, Investing in the Future

https://www.versivcomposites.com/news/sustainability

As industries evolve toward cleaner energy, greater efficiency, and more responsible manufacturing, we are committed to developing materials that help make that transition possible. From renewable energy applications to advanced automotive solutions, we aim to support technologies that reduce waste, improve performance, and contribute to a more sustainable world for the long term.

On Earth Day, this commitment feels especially meaningful, as we reflect on the importance of innovation in building a cleaner, more resilient future for generations to come.

Here are some of the ways we help drive sustainability across different industries:

Boosting Wind Blade Manufacturing

Versiv PTFE adhesive tape systems are designed to support efficient, high-quality wind blade manufacturing by enabling clean release of moulded components with no resin transfer - up to 60 pulls in a regular impact area.

These materials remove the need for release agents or silicone sprays, by combining excellent non-stick performance, mechanical stability under pressure, thermal resistance up to 260°C, and resistance to molten thermoplastics.

The result is a more consistent production process with less material waste, higher-quality finishes, reduced risk of unplanned maintenance, and improved productivity— helping manufacturers produce wind blade components more reliably and sustainably.

Reducing Emission in Automotive

Versiv Low Friction Liners improve actuation performance and reduce power requirements in automotive electromagnetic solenoids, contributing to reduced emissions.

Because they can replace messy greases, oils, lubricants, and certain metallic coatings, these fluoropolymer composites also help limit maintenance waste and reduce the use of more resource-intensive surface treatments. The result is a lighter, more efficient solution that supports longer-lasting vehicle system performance.

Supporting Green Energy Production

Versiv materials support growth in the hydrogen energy market in two ways:

As components: stacking materials inside fuel cells and electrolysers.

As processing aids for catalyst coating and lamination of Catalyst Coated Membranes (CCMs), present inside Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEA).

Reducing Manufacture Waste and Contamination

Versiv helps reduce waste by enabling cleaner release, preventing contamination, and supporting more consistent manufacturing.

Designed for long-lasting performance, our materials help reduce defects, rejects, residue build-up, and rework, improving process efficiency and helping manufacturers lower overall material discard and processing times.
